We constantly hear from the left about gun safety and how gun control will save lives. There’s no doubt they’re right that gun safety is important; they’re just wrong about what that means in most cases.
As for gun control? I support it. Gun control means using both hands.
However, one of the biggest overlooked issues in the ongoing gun debates is the stealing of weapons and the black market for weapons. The ISIS terror group and others got their arsenal from places like Turkey and the black market, while America did almost nothing to stop them.
Gangs and cartels operating in the US also rely on shady shipments and stolen weapon loads. A recent case in LA highlights this perfectly…
Guns Stolen From Railway in LA
Many guns are getting stolen from railway cars in Los Angeles. The LAPD is warning about it and saying dozens of weapons are going missing on a regular basis.
Without the rail cars being adequately protected by police and security, thieves broke in and grabbed whatever they could, including various firearms.
California’s failed Governor Gavin Newsom came by recently to rant about the railcar break-ins, saying LA looks like a “third-world” nation. He’s right.
California, as a whole, is sliding into the status of a third-world nation as it gets overrun by illegals, cartels, released criminals, drug addicts, insane people released out of asylums, and degenerate leftists infecting the education system, government, and Hollywood.
The stealing in LA is getting out of control and one photo went viral, showing garbage scattered across the tracks after thieves raided the railcars.
It’s like we’re back in the Old West when people robbed train cars, except this time there’s no chivalry and the good cowboys are nowhere to be found to save the day.

Why Are Thieves Focusing On This Area of the Railway?
The Union Pacific railways that have been the focus of these thefts are just under 300 miles through LA County.
Since a year ago, over 90 rail cars per day have been getting broken into and raided, including containers with weapons in them. One of the worst areas is the Lincoln Heights railyard, where criminal elements in the city have a fairly easy time breaking in and getting away with the loot.
Union Pacific tried to stop the thieving, bringing in extra reinforcement and private security, but it’s not really making a large impact. The Democrats are too soft-on-crime, and the problem is too big.
Union Pacific has specifically called out liberal LA County District Attorney George Gascon, in particular, for coddling criminals and not prosecuting nearly enough cases.
More or less, Gascon is not doing nearly enough to keep things safe for Union to operate in his county, but the railway goes through his county, so they are stuck between a rock and a hard place.
As stolen guns become a worse and worse problem, it’s clear something needs to be done immediately.
111 guns were stolen from cars in Nashville so far in 2022. 35 guns were stolen just last week. These are early indications that the problem does not show signs of stopping. https://t.co/Kn5ze37aDM
