President Biden wants to stop gun violence and he says he has a plan.
He recently met with a group of cops, community leaders and state officials (including New York mayor-to-be Eric Adams) to talk over his new plan to stop people from getting killed with firearms.
The country is currently having a massive surge of gun violence, especially in blue cities like Chicago; gangsters there use handguns to slaughter each other on a daily basis.
At his recent White House meetup, Biden emphasized the large amount of his $350 billion COVID bailout that cleared Congress earlier this year; Biden said it can be used to hire more cops and work on programs to stop crime.
Frankly, as blue cities empty out and people flee to red states away from the mob, it might already be too little too late.
‘Rogue Gun Dealers’?
At the meeting, Biden was trying to deal with the fact that Americans really don’t trust him on crime. In fact, only 38% of respondents in a recent poll say he’s doing a good enough job for law and order.
Those are pretty dismal numbers.
Biden claims he’s going to crack down on “rogue gun dealers,” but this seems like a fairly weak pitch. The whole issue with black market dealers and gangsters is that they’re hard to track and find.
Then, as soon as you do find them, they pop up elsewhere. We simply can’t expect the government to solve all these problems.
When you’re part of an administration that’s talked about defunding the police and backed proposals that go easy on criminals who commit gun crime, you create a lot of pushback.
We can all see what’s happening: more regulations and problems for law-abiding gun owners, and more excuses and leniency for gun criminals.
Not thanks, Biden!

An Important Note
It’s actually a good policy to go hard after illegal gun sellers and gun criminals. However, Biden’s blather about community programs and crime prevention shows he’s still stuck in Democrat land.
The answer to violent crime is severe punishment and effective, rapid policing, as well as an armed populace who won’t take any crap from anyone.
If we could get guns out of the hands of the criminals and psychopaths ruining this country that would be outstanding!
Likewise, it would also be outstanding if nobody ever had car accidents or heart problems.
Unfortunately the reality is that it’s not easy to just disarm the thousands of criminals around our city streets.
This afternoon, I met with the Attorney General, law enforcement officials, and local leaders to discuss our comprehensive strategy to reduce gun crimes. We’re committed to working together with state and local officials to keep Americans safe. pic.twitter.com/HXL81Rv8Cq

Here’s the Deal on Biden
As Democrats go, Biden is not the worst out there on crime. After all, he did pass the tough 1994 anti-crime law that his own side constantly trash talks him for.
That shows us he was definitely on the right track there. He’s also stepped away from the defund the police nonsense the Democrats were spewing last year; even Biden knows how insane that rhetoric is.
Still… Biden’s ideas about gun control are way out of line. Moreover, his ideas for how to solve violent gun crime only sound like one thing to me: more empty Democrat posturing and not much in the way of actual solutions.
