Traditional gun cleaners can be toxic and dangerous. Ogre Manufacturing’s Enviroclean gun cleaner is different. Their cleaning solvent rapidly cuts through gun fouling and residue without harsh chemicals. It is safe for guns, safe for shooters, and safe for the environment.  Enviroclean removes gunshot residue, burnt powder, lead, copper, plastic fouling and rust on your firearms.

The 1911 that I am cleaning is my RIA Pro Match chambered in 40 S&W. I had available the normal cleaning gear that I use with the exception of the new Ogre products. I have in the past tried just about every cleaning / oiling product on the market, some good and some not so good. These two products really impressed me with how well they cleaned and how well the oil lubricated the firearm. As can be seen in my pictures a Bore Snake is there but was not needed. I might be a little redundant in my cleaning procedure but that is just how I clean my firearms. Granted my handgun was not that dirty, only had about 100 rounds through it but the Enviroclean did what I expected it to do, cleaned the grime from the parts with minimal effort on my part and best part of all NO ODOR!!! Wives will not mind you cleaning your firearms in the den while watching TV!! Ha!!

From the pictures you can see my cleaning procedure, like I said might be a bit redundant but that is just how I clean my firearms. The barrel came out cleaner than I have ever seen it and the feed ramp looks as if it had been polished. The slide looks new again and cleaned up very well using the Enviroclean FA. After cleaning and oiling the parts now move as slick as can be. I am not going to say that these are the best cleaning / oiling products on the market but out of all of the ones I have tried Enviroclean FA and Ogre HP gun oil will now be standard items in my cleaning gear!!

Good Info! But does it smell as purty as Hoppe’s #9 when you use it for after-shave?
All seriousness aside–is this a plant oil-based product like the $5 can full of 25 cents worth of canola oil that has been marketed recently, and which becomes gummy when subjected to heat? I like a little info on the ingredients that allow it to be non-toxic and enviro-friendly.

Dear COL Bull-sigh, Enviroclean FA does not smell like Hoppe’s #9 or any other gun cleaner on the market. In fact Enviroclean FA is virtually odor free. Enviroclean FA is a true gun solvent based on both natural and synthetic ingredients. As Enviroclean FA is a solvent there is no sticky residue left behind. Enviroclean FA has been tested by an independent laboratory and was determined to be biodegradable. Please see our website: http://www.ogremfg.com and check out the “on the Environment” section. Being biodegradable does not make a product non-toxic. However Enviroclean FA is much safer to use than conventional gun cleaners. Thanks for your question and we hope that you will try Enviroclean FA to see the results for yourself.
    Regards,
    Ogre
