SOFREP‘s own editor-in-chief, former Navy SEAL sniper instructor, Brandon Webb recently announced his interest in vying for a board member position for the NRA.
For those of you who aren’t familiar, both SOFREP.com and The Arms Guide are a part of the Force 12 Network. Specifically, SOFREP is the “number one site for authentic, accurate, and timely information related to the U.S. & Coalition Special Operations Community,” written by members of the Spec Ops community.
Brandon Webb has served the US Navy for 13 years, and has been a NRA member since 2005. He first became involved with discussing firearms “hot button issues” through his personal blog earlier this year, but has since decided he’d like to take a more hands-on approach with regard to 2nd Amendment politics through influencing NRA policy as a board member. He’ll be attempting a position in 2015.
To address some of the controversy surrounding his decision, and to clarify what his position on firearms and firearms-related legislation, he has published a post on the SOFREP site.
