As if the S&W Model 500 didn’t look fierce enough, this one has bear tracks on its non-fluted cylinder. Some of you already know of my fondness for this hefty hand cannon, so I’m sure for you it was no surprise that when I found the grizzly-framed bear-tracked .500 Magnum wheelgun for sale, I had to have it.

hartcreek Lol I have a hard time not justifying buying a gun, especially when I’ve had the chance to shoot it and grow to enjoy bringing it to the range. I don’t have any practical purpose for it, but as a hobbyist shooter, it brings a lot of smiles to me at the range – and that works for me :] I have a .44 mag (specifically a snubby 629) on my “do want” gun list, too. Those are tons of fun in their own right ;]
sNw9 Yep yep.
FateofDestinee EricKmiecik You’re welcome, Destinee. The 500 is a awesome gun.
How many rounds do you have for that 50 and how many rounds have you shot out of a 50? I keep hundreds to a thousand rounds on hand of each calibre I reload but then I reload a couple dozen calibres. I just picked up a 1907 Marlin Model 19 that has not been distroyed by shooting magnum loads so now I am working up a 2 1/2 inch 12 gague load for it so yes I under stand when weapoins call out your name but them calling is no good if you do not have or can not make the ammo.
Realistically that SW 50 is way to much gun for most people and you have now put youself into the collateral damage category that those of us that carry magnums are in. I have tested the loads for both the guns that I meantioned in my previous post so I know well that hitting anything short of an elk the shot will be a through and through.
hartcreek Who said every gun purchase had to be practical, or have a practical application to it? If that was the case, well I should have stopped buying years ago.
Owning many different types of guns and calibers just for the fun of it is one kind of “diversity” I can celebrate!
