New York is one of the most anti-gun states in the Union. That’s part of why crazed racist shooter Payton Gendron said he chose the state to conduct his racist massacre at the Topps supermarket in Buffalo.
Though New York Governor Kathy Hochul and her Democrat Party want to make things even easier for psychopath killers like Gendron; this is is why she put through ten new gun control measures in her state late last week.
These laws make it so nobody under 21 can purchase or use a semiauto rifle in any capacity. They also put in a number of new red flag laws.
The state already bars handgun ownership for anybody under 21.
Cracking Down on Ghost Guns
Thursday’s roster of bills that were passed by the statehouse also included a prohibition on ghost guns and on body armor, which Hochul said is part of a “moral moment.”
According to her, other governors across America should start putting through serious gun control in order to end “gun violence” and the “massacres.”
What about SAFE? These gun control measures were put through by disgraced former Governor Andrew Cuomo after the horrific Sandy Hook massacre, but they didn’t end up stopping gun violence at all.
In fact, we have a record level of gun violence currently going on, particularly in our inner cities with handguns, suicides, and domestic violence.
Why is the focus on banning high capacity and high power weapons if these are not at the root of most gun violence? Could it be the left wants to disarm law-abiding citizens who disagree with it and this actually doesn’t relate to ending gun violence?

Hochul: Law Not Aimed at ‘Legal Owners’
Hochul emphasized in her press conference celebrating the new restrictions that none of this is supposed to infringe on the rights of shooting sportspeople, hunters, or those who follow the law and wish to own weapons.
That’s clearly a lie.
This law leaves plenty of ways for criminals in New York to obtain high-powered weapons and simply more vulnerable to criminals like Gendron.
It’s true he was wearing body armor, but citizens who want to protect themselves against these kinds of predators need to be able to wear things like bulletproof vests and protective equipment.
Why should we believe Hochul and the left wants to stop at “common sense” reform? They clearly want to take this as far as they possibly can.
And criminals will suddenly obey THIS law @GovKathyHochul ?
All you did was take rights away from people you actually abide by the law. Criminals don't care what laws you make.New York Governor Hochul signs new gun control bills into law https://t.co/HS2e9yApKr

The Bottom Line
If Hochul truly believes gun control makes her state a safer place which will have less gun violence, why not go all out?
Put in so many restrictions that we can all see who’s right once and for all. If harsh new gun control laws work, I promise to honestly admit it right here on The Arms Guide.
