The recent shooting in Uvalde, Texas has the nation on edge. 19 innocent kids and two teachers lost their lives during the horrific massacre, as well as suspected shooter, 18-year-old Salvador Ramos.
How did such a bloodbath happen in an elementary after Sandy Hook in 2012? We all remember when Adam Lanza used a Bushmaster XM15-E2S rifle to mow down 28 children in that school shooting.
The left called for gun control; the right called for securing and protecting our schools.
Then, there was Parkland, Florida in 2018, when 19-year-old Nikolas Cruz used a Smith & Wesson M&P15 to kill 17 people.
While the left pushes gun control and the right talks about securing schools and improving mental health help, at least one county in Florida has a different plan.
Welcome to Polk County
Polk County is located in central Florida and includes the city of Lakeland. It’s led by a sheriff named Grady Judd; he recently held a press conference explaining his county’s approach to school shooters.
As Judd said, anyone coming on campus brandishing a weapon or intending to shoot kids will be shot “graveyard dead” through their skull before they can even get inside.
His tough talk shocked a few onlookers at the press conference and the clip is making the rounds.
This is the kind of tough talk that makes would-be school shooters rethink their twisted plans and focus on more vulnerable areas where they can carry out their sick violence.
They now have it on good authority that any psychopath who tries to get on school grounds to kill somebody in Polk County is going to be pushy up daisies before they reach the front entrance.
The more we learn about the police's performance during the school shooting in Uvalde, Texas, the more troubling questions and issues arise.
The worst is why police didn't immediately breach the room where the students where killed.

‘The Last Thing You’ll See’
As Judd said, the “last thing you’ll see” is a school safety officer or police officer aiming a high-powered weapon at your face. It’s clear Judd means what he says and anyone looking to cause trouble in Polk County is going to have a very bad day.
As concerns arise about the police response to the Uvalde shooting, and why the shooter was able to even enter the school or classroom where many kids were hiding, America needs more sheriff’s departments to step up and speak bluntly like this.
Psychopathic killers understand only one language: the language of force. We must use whatever force necessary to protect our kids.

The Bottom Line
School shooters and gun spree killers deserve a one-way ticket to hell.
They need to know every place they think of as a “soft target” is nothing of the kind. Whether it’s a school, a grocery store, or a church, they should heed the words of men like Sheriff Judd.
This country is done tolerating gun violence from criminals.
