Red flag gun laws are put in place in around 20 states of the union.
What they do is they give police the legal right to take your guns under a number of circumstances, including if there is a history of domestic abuse, improper gun storage, and more.
The reasoning behind red flag gun laws is taking guns away from people who do something wrong will prevent gun crime.
Yet, here’s why they don’t work…
Same. I can't get behind Dr. Oz. A lying globalist WEF hack who supported gun bans, Red Flag laws and abortions.
I do not buy it he flipped on any of it.

Why Red Flag Laws Fail
Red flag laws propose to take away the guns of those whoย mightย use them for something bad.
Though, you’ll notice that criminals are running wild all over blue cities and across the country. You’ll also notice that laws punishing those who do gun crimes are being massaged and lessened by the Democrat party.
Why is that? The reason is simple: red flag laws aren’t about stopping violent criminals and convicts. They’re about taking guns away from lawful gun owners on the basis of technicalities and big government gossip.
We Need To Watch Out
With the ATF building up its massive billion-strong registry of gun owner details, we have real reason to worry about red flag laws and what they could be used for, especially when the left likes to tuck them into bigger bills like the Violence Against Women Act.
Though even more than that, it’s crucial to understand that they don’t work in any case.
This was concluded by a study done by Veronica Pear Ph. D. and Garen Wintermute. They concluded that suicide and gun violence didn’t go down, due to implementing red flag laws.
Dr Oz said he wanted red flag laws in all 50 states. This isnโt up for debate, itโs literally what he said. pic.twitter.com/S9uWSeu6ko

What Does the Data Say?
The data from Wintermute and Pear’s report shows that red flag laws didn’t put a dent in suicide or gun violence. Actually, they disturbingly found that red flag laws corresponded to a rise in suicides, as well as a rise in gun injuries.
This is probably due to the overall rise in gun violence across the country, but it goes to show how red flag laws didn’t actually stop that.
On the issue of illegal guns, they also concluded that as red flag laws got stricter, criminals and suicidal people simply went to buy guns illegally. When you’re a criminal or looking to take your own life, you’re not exactly interested in following the law.
The bottom line here is that red flag laws don’t stop criminals, violent people, or the severely depressed from doing things they should not be doing.
Instead, they just serve as another tool and justification by the government to infringe on our 2A rights and twist our minds around with leftist reasoning about our rights.
The fact of the matter is that red flag laws areย against the lawย and against the Constitution.
