In the good old days, finding love was as simple as saying hello to the beautiful-looking young lady at the church picnic. Though this country has gone a long way downhill since then.
Now, we scan around on applications on our phones; our young people do their best to match up with someone who won’t be a total nightmare.
The results are definitely not amazing. With a divorce rate over 50% and fewer couples even marrying in the first place, it’s clear that love is in big trouble.
One of the reasons is actually the political divides in this country, including disagreements about gun control. Here’s why…
‘You Support the Second Amendment? That’s So Icky’
There are various apps people use to meet available singles, including things like Tinder and Plenty of Fish. Another dating site and app that some folks use is called OkCupid.
Let’s get one thing straight here: OkCupid is a very leftist-run project. It is full of woke nonsense during the sign-up process and information stages.
Though that doesn’t mean everyone on the app is a leftist. Just the same way this country has people of all political beliefs, so do dating apps.
Recently, OkCupid did a poll to find out what area of disagreement makes people decide for sure they don’t like someone. In other words, what’s a subject where somebody with a different opinion makes you so annoyed that you stop being interested in them as a potential mate.
The results show the top result, by far, is climate change at over 90%. Those who don’t believe it is man-made or as serious as many say, are considered “petromasculine” chauvinists and hated for their view.
Guns also factored in at around 10%, with those who want stricter gun control saying that pro-gun people are a dealbreaker for them.

Climate Change Fever
Both men and women on OkCupid said that climate change is their big dealbreaker. If you downplay it or don’t believe it, you are basically a leper to them.
As for those who support the oil and gas industry, or believe America should go back to these sources of fuel, they are basically the devil. Good luck ever meeting anyone, I guess.
The real thing about this is how shallow it exposes these leftist dating apps to be. They are just all about bullying people and excluding them for having different points of view.
It’s very easy to say you agree with “science” about a controversial topic when everyone else agrees.
Though take a few of these progressive OkCupid users and ask them if they’ve ever truly been outnumbered and held an unpopular opinion and the vast majority would have to admit no.

The Bottom Line
Good luck finding love in America in 2022. You’re probably better off staying away from the apps unless they are more traditional ones like Christian Mingle.
