If there’s any country in the world where the power of armed self-defense is on display, it’s the state of Israel. Since being reestablished in 1948, Israel has survived against all odds.
Using intelligence, military power, economic innovation and strategic alliance-building, Israel has managed to hold its own against a sea of enemies who surround it on all sides and even within its own borders.
Many Palestinians are peaceful people trying to live their lives and feed their families, but unfortunately, a certain minority are not peaceful and not reasonable.
The same goes for the Arab Israelis living inside Israel. The vast majority are peaceful and even patriotic, but unfortunately, a minority are violent terrorists.
Recently, on Tuesday, one of these Arab Israelis from a local Bedouin tribe decided to start killing Jews in the southern Israeli city of Beersheba…but he didn’t think it all the way through.
Terrorist Uses Knife and Car to Kill Israelis
The terrorist in question headed the city of Beersheba, which is located in southern Israel about two hours’ drive south of Jerusalem.
This individual first pulled up to a gas station and slashed an innocent Israeli woman to death, leaving her dead on the ground.
He then jumped back in his vehicle and drove full-speed into an innocent Israeli cyclist, running him over. He got out of his vehicle and started slashing more, viciously killing two more civilians next to a shopping center in Beersheba, which is when he ran into trouble.
It was at this point that an Israeli bus drive jumped out of his bus and approached the attacker. The bus driver was armed with a handgun and trained it on the terrorist.
The terrorist made slashing motions as onlookers shouted. The driver attempted to avoid killing him, but was trying to defuse the threat.
However, when the terrorist lunged close to him with the weapon, the driver fired a round into him at close range. Another bystander then finished off the terrorist, pumping him full of lead on the pavement.

According to Beersheba police, the standoff lasted about ten minutes and police were also responding when the citizens reacted. Sadly, four Israelis died; although fortunately, several other stabbing victims did survive.
The terrorist, named as Ghaleb al-Qian, died of his injuries. He was 34 and had a record for trying to join ISIS in Syria. He’d just gotten out of jail a few years ago; police believe he’d been planning an attack for some time.
The victims are listed as loving mother Doris Yahbas, Rabbi Moshe Kravitzky, a dad and religious leader, a mother of three called Laura Yitzhak, and 67-year-old Menahem Yehezkel.
This is the worst terror attack in Israel since 2016 when two militants killed innocent people at a market in Tel Aviv.

Who Was the Brave Civilian?
The bus driver who reacted is a man called Arthur Chaimov.
He says he reacted as soon as he could and told the terrorist to drop his weapon if he wanted not to be shot.
The terrorist repeatedly refused and then tried to kill Chaimov, which is when he shot him. Chaimov said he’s sad to have killed a human, regardless of who he he was, but it’s clear from the video there wasn’t really an alternative.
This also goes to show the difference in humanity. Chaimov isn’t happy about killing, whereas al-Qian refused to stop.
