For supporters of the Second Amendment, the current reality is tense. We don’t want our gun rights taken away.
However, one important thing to remember is for the far-left base of the Democrat Party, Joe Biden hasn’t done enough to impose gun control. A growing chorus of progressives is demanding Biden start cracking down for real on gun rights.
This has gone so far there is even talk about trying to get Biden to establish a Ministry of Gun Violence just to deal with the issue of guns and violence as a separate government priority. Isn’t the ATF enough for these folks to take guns from law-abiding Americans?
Apparently not.
Activists Pushing Biden to Get Tougher on Guns
As Chip Brownlee outlines in his piece for The Trace, a growing chorus of 85 pro-gun control groups is pushing Biden to create a department of government focused on fighting gun violence.
If that sounds like something out of George Orwell, that’s because it is. Biden has already faced the reality that taking Americans’ guns away is harder than he thought.
However, the far left of his base will never accept that reality; their activism and high funding are a danger to patriots across the country.
Earlier this month in New York, Biden promised there would be more federal funding to basically try to counsel troubled communities and deal with issues like ghost guns. Yet, advocates want more.
They want a whole section of government that’s just focused on cracking down on guns. They say this will reduce shootings.
These Democrat-aligned gun control groups want people trying to take your guns from you, while their allies in Congress are simultaneously lowering bail for violent gun criminals and gangsters in the inner city. How does that make even a molecule of sense?
They blame Biden for not doing something about gun control.

Will Biden Do It?
So far, Biden hasn’t shown the inclination to take a big step, such as creating a separate ministry aimed at gun violence, but he definitely could. He could do so by executive order and declare gun violence a public health emergency, as the left is fond of doing.
Creating a ministry would coordinate all government efforts and could be headed up by someone like Susan Rice, according to activists.
Streamlining the government bureaucracy sounds good on the surface, but when you consider each individual part is not in favor of our Constitution, then you have to realize tying them all together would not be a good thing for lovers of liberty.

The Bottom Line
After the upcoming midterms, Biden is likely to become a fully lame-duck president.
However, don’t forget he’s still the head of our executive branch and he can still put down some very heavy orders from the Resolute Desk.
