Blue states are being caught up in a huge murder wave. They blame it on the Second Amendment, even though the vast majority of gun violence is from illegal guns. Nevertheless, count on liberals never to miss an opportunity to exploit tragedies and violence.
The latest example of an out-of-control blue state comes from New Jersey. Tony Soprano-land is cracking down on gun rights, thanks to Governor Phil Murphy, who’s got a real fixation on taking guns away from law-abiding citizens, but making it easier for criminals to use guns.
Are we sure the mob isn’t paying this guy off?
Murphy Goes on a Mad Gun Grabbing Spree
New Jersey is already a state with some of the tightest laws against legal gun owners in the whole country. However, that’s not enough for Murphy, who is forcing a number of gun control laws to make it harder for 2A to survive.
For one thing, Murphy is allocating $10 million for special services that study and “prevent” gun violence; this means more laws and pressure on legal gun owners, and less attention on criminals.
He’s also increasing the courses and costs for those who get a gun; that comes along with Murphy ramping up storage and safe lock box laws so you have to spend more to own a weapon in his state.
These may all sound like normal things on the surface, but as patriots know, these are measures Democrats use to erode gun rights while disguising it as concern for public wellbeing.

It Gets Worse…
Murphy is also trying to raise the age you can buy a gun from 18 to 21; he wants to increase tracking equipment on guns so any round you fire can be legally tracked and then put in a system for following all ammo sales through digital records systems.
Murphy likewise wants to pave the way for more lawsuits against gun makers. He is hosting more meetings in the state to talk about gun ownership, gun violence, and the danger of people owning guns.
The new storage laws are also very burdensome and require people to store ammo and guns in separate locked boxes, which do not come cheap. It also leaves a lot of wiggle room for authorities to come after you for not storing your gun properly.
The new laws will require the gun and ammo remain fully locked when you’re not “using” them. What exactly defines using a gun or potentially wanting to use it?
If you have a gun out of the box when cleaning it, is that “using” it? These are all ways to go hard on gun owners while ignoring the scourge of black market guns and illegal weapons.
Supporters say the bills would make New Jersey a safer place to live. Critics say they will “do nothing to severely punish gun criminals.” https://t.co/Bh3iE8lfuo

The Bottom Line
Make sure if you’re in New Jersey, you keep your gun fully locked and away from your ammo. If someone breaks in, you can try to get both matched up in time to defend yourself, but it will probably be too late.
Good luck! Seriously, though, these gun grabbers need to be stopped. Voice your protests as soon as possible; Murphy wants to push these through ASAP.
