McDonalds Employee Draws Weapon When Customer Won’t Wear Mask

Americans are tired of wearing masks. We’ve been told since the beginning of COVID that masks would stop the disease and save lives, but there was never really an end date. They just kept being required.

We were also told vaccines would get things back to normal. Then, that was changed and we were told many parts of our lives still wouldn’t return to anything like pre-COVID.

Vaccinated people still have to wear masks on airplanes and many other places, for example. Two incidents in Decatur, Georgia show just how tense the mask situation is getting for some people.

Disaster in Decatur

The latest incident in Decatur occurred when a lady says she went to get food at McDonalds and the employee drew a handgun on her. What happened, according to this woman Crista Burton, is they had a disagreement about wearing a mask.

No matter how much you support wearing masks, pulling out a weapon on someone over it is definitely a crime. Burton said she was heading to Athens and decided to stop at a McDonalds location in Decatur.

That’s when the trouble reportedly started. She didn’t have a mask on her and asked if they had one she could wear. The employees had been saying they didn’t have one and became angry when Burton asked again if they had one.

She hadn’t heard them talking to each other and was confused. Yet, one employee in particular became furious about the situation and then drew a handgun on her.

How Could This Happen?

This is a perfect example of extremely reckless and dangerous gun use. People who act this way should definitely have their right to use a gun revoked and face criminal penalties.

You don’t just pull a weapon on someone because you get in an argument with them; that’s the behavior of a complete psychopath.

Luckily, nobody was injured in the DeKalb incident, but in June of this year, there was a shooting at a Decatur supermarket over a mask dispute as well. This insanity needs to stop.

@McDonalds just sat in your drive thru for an hour. Had a mobile order, didn’t receive it. Ordered nuggets, lady threw them at me. No one was wearing their mask correctly. No refund. Poor customer service. Worst experience (3893 N Druid Hills Rd. Decatur, GA) they need help.

The Bottom Line

It’s clear many people have reached their limit on masks and the drama and irritation of constantly being told about masks. Yet, those who are enforcing the masks should also watch their behavior.

People have basic rights of respect and decency that don’t end just because of COVID. There are also people who have medical exemptions to masks and for whom masks are dangerous.

Gun owners get a bad reputation when people do stupid things like what this McDonald’s employee reportedly did. Guns aren’t toys and you don’t threaten people with them just because you’re having a bad day.

Time for people to smarten up.
