The National Rifle Association (NRA) has plenty of problems. It also has powerful enemies on the left who want to see it crash and burn. However, the good news is a rising wave of pro-gun rights support in the United States is also helping the NRA.
One of the biggest reasons is the law’s starting to recognize the 2A provides Americans rights that can never be taken away for any political reason.
The NRA’s Issues
The NRA has a lot of internal issues. It’s made bad decisions and screwed up its approach to various things, including having a poor response to the leftist lynch mob that wants to bring it down.
Founded in 1871, the NRA has been a crucial organization for protecting our right to bear arms, but it hasn’t always held itself to high standards. The NRA’s leadership helped itself to cushy benefits like private jets and nice gifts; they were even sued for this and other subsequent actions.
Leader Wayne LaPierre has also faced significant opposition and some serious accusations of corruption. Past exposure of some in leadership calling NRA members “hillbillies” raised a lot of outrage as well, especially considering almost half the organization’s money comes from members.
In other words, the NRA is not without its own serious issues. At the same time, the law in this nation is turning firmly in favor of the NRA and its advocacy for our gun rights. This presents an interesting paradox: the NRA is winning the argument on guns, despite its poor management.
Happy Anniversary @NRA Thank you for standing string on 2A issues and being a resource for firearm education for 150 years. A very thoughtful article on the history of the NRA and how they have addressed racial inequality throughout the years. pic.twitter.com/MEIVX2ojzW

The Times Are Changing
The fact is, however, the NRA is being buoyed by many things going on in the legal system that are upholding gun rights. The current case about the NY Rifle and Pistol Association vs. Bruen is going to be key for the future rights of concealed carry in America.
Right now, it’s looking like gun rights will win the day there. Regardless of its own internal problems and excesses, the NRA’s basic position on supporting gun rights is being upheld as correct and viable..and that’s good news for gun owners.
Despite consistently negative propaganda from the left and demonization of guns, there’s been a major surge in first-time buyers and a growth in pro-gun opinions among the public. Support for gun control is falling.
Meanwhile, support for the right to bear arms – including concealed carry – is growing.

The NRA is Winning
This is why the NRA is winning. It’s winning because despite the NRA’s own problems, it hasn’t backed down from its basic position that 2A rights are non-negotiable.
Americans of all backgrounds and from all walks of life are coming together in agreement on this basic principle and America is stronger for it.
