Pro gun control groups claim they just want to keep everyone safe. With such a noble mission, it would make sense these places are welcoming and harmonious. Maybe they even sing Kumbaya after a long day of taking guns away from law-abiding Americans and doing nothing to actually stop gun violence.
However, now an ex-employee of one of the leading gun control groups called Everytown is speaking out. It turns out that her experience at this liberal gun control group was anything but positive.
‘Abusive’ Atmosphere at Everytown
Even though this ex-employee supported Everytown’s main mission of finding ways to legislate more strictly on guns, she experienced an extremely hostile work atmosphere. Her recent review left on an employment site said her time working for them was like dating an “abusive” partner.
Having previously experienced domestic abuse and working to support women who’ve been through similar situations, this employee knew harassment when she saw it. Everytown was handing it out in spades, pretending to want to “protect” kids while treating its employees like dirt.

What Exactly Was it Like at Everytown?
According to this former employee, the atmosphere at Everytown was a waking nightmare. She said that although many liberals think that Everytown does great things and is helping the “cause,” it’s actually a toxic and awful place.
The way it started out when she began employment was just like an abusive relationship often does: with charm and nice things. Perks and freebies were offered, as well as a lot of praise and support. Then, after building employees up, leadership worked to break them right down.
Liberal white women in the leadership and with Moms Demand Action are the worst of all, according to the former employee, including MDA leader Shannon Watts.
🚨 ENDORSEMENT ALERT 🚨
I am proud to be endorsed by @Everytown! I am running for office as a GV survivor, as a gun owner, and as someone who has spent 15 years in the service of our nation. I am ready to step up to address the root causes of GV and keep our communities safe. pic.twitter.com/5vOmLO3XIi

The Truth About Everytown
Shannon Watts and Everytown are not on the side of the American people. Their focus is on restricting gun rights for law-abiding Americans and getting legal guns off the streets. According to the former employee, Everytown especially overworks its lower-ranking employees.
Moreover, some of its departments, such as the Field, are particularly disrespectful and abusive. This sounds like a nightmare to me, and it definitely doesn’t line up with their supposedly humanitarian mission. Decisions have no oversight and are pushed through with no input from lower employees, who are expected to toe the party line at all times.
Not surprising at all… https://t.co/9baD7orzk0

Then there’s the mission itself to take away legal guns. What about the illegal guns flooding Chicago and New York that lead to a bloodbath every weekend? What about the rich and famous who hire armed bodyguards no questions asked, but expect the rest of us commoners to just tough it out against armed thugs?
It’s really not surprising how toxic it is at Everytown. I would have expected nothing less from such hypocrites.
