The rising gun violence in this nation has claimed yet another innocent life. This horrific attack occurred in Miami when a gunman high on hallucinogenic drugs brutally murdered a young man who was out to dinner with his family.
The accused shooter is a 22-year-old man from Georgia called Tamarius Davis. He was using magic mushrooms and felt “empowered” according to what he told police after the attack.
His feeling of invincibility led him to walk up on the outdoor dining section of an Italian restaurant in Miami Beach; he then pulled out his firearm and start shooting a young man who was there was his wife and young baby.
After walking up to the restaurant, this drug-crazed psychopath chose to shoot 21-year-old Dustin Wakefield. The young man was there on a family vacation and as Davis came up and pulled his gun, Wakefield did the bravest thing any man could do.
He stepped in front of his one-year-old son to protect him from incoming gunfire. Davis was reportedly shouting about how everyone would die; Wakefield pleaded with him not to shoot his baby son, stepping in to shield him.
Davis, therefore, shot Wakefield many times as he fell on the ground and continued to shoot him dead once he was on the ground. Restaurant customers screamed in panic as this drug-fueled man murdered an innocent man in front of his wife and young son.
This darling man was murdered protecting his 1 year old son.
Tamarius Blair Davis Jr. told investigators he shot Dustin Wakefield because he was high on mushrooms and he felt empowered.

Davis was arrested after the shooting when he ran away from the restaurant. He admitted to the crime, noting that his use of psilocybin magic mushrooms contributed to his desire to start shooting people. When he was arrested, Davis was extremely happy, smiling and laughing as police ordered him to surrender.
Davis was in Miami Beach hanging out with friends; he had no criminal record or previous record of mental illness. Those who responded to the attack and knew Wakefield are devastated, saying he was the “kindest” person they know and cherished his family and son.
Davis appears to have used an unspecified handgun for the attack.

Davis’ family is completely devastated as well, wondering why their son snapped and decided to start mowing down innocent people. They believe he may have taken magic mushrooms that caused him to go psychotic. Davis himself is now hit with a murder charge; he is in jail awaiting his first court appearance.
This horrible crime indicates three main things:
- Never underestimate the heroism of a brave man protecting those he loves.
- Drugs like magic mushrooms, marijuana, and other substances are not “harmless”; they are severely dangerous substances that can literally lead to murder and insanity as we’ve seen multiple times. For example, this story details a young man in Canada who got high on weed and then beheaded his own dad. Many such stories exist once you start digging beneath the mainstream media’s lies claiming these drugs are harmless and are good to legalize. It is also completely untrue that drug-induced psychosis only happens to those who are already mentally ill. Davis is still 100% responsible for what he did; he should get the death penalty, but the psychological danger of drugs is extremely high.
- It is not safe to be out with your family unarmed in America in 2021. It’s just not.
