This Cold Steel Safe Keeper III is another little knife I need to review. I often keep it clipped to my belt (it comes with a kydex holster) or in my purse, depending on what I’m wearing and where I’m going. What do you think of these little push daggers as a potential self defense option?
If you have to go to a state where your permit is no good check out the states laws and carry what you can. I would rather carry a pepper grenade or spray then one of those blades cuz the grenade gives you some distance.
hartcreek Ooh, I’ve never seen a pepper grenade! I’d love to test on of those out…. on a volunteer. Doesn’t sound like something fun to try on myself. T.T

One benefit of this type of knife is it is next to impossible to have it taken away from you
computermike It’s also not as easily dropped if the wielder falls/is pushed to the ground.

Not super fond of this knife style. I do carry a blade in my EDC system but it’s more of a practical, fast deploying folder. However if I lived in a heavily populated area or had a greater risk of violent conflict I would definately consider some type of defensive only blade.
